The certification test was offered this year for the very first time, and surgeons who passed the criteria based on their training and experience were eligible to sit for the first boards. Dr. Sitnikova did so, and sucessfully passed the test and is now one of the first surgeons Board Certified in the FPMRS specialty in the nation and definitely in the Twin Cities Area.
The Board recognizes surgeons, who developed specialized skills in surgical and non-surgical management of women with pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, other lower urinary tract disorders, pelvic organ prolapse as well as child birth-related injuries.
